Carmela Mento was born in Messina (Italy) on 5th December 1978. She is a Clinical Psychologist and Jungian Psychoanalyst, moreover PhD in Psychiatric Science. Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology, currently working at the Department of Biomedical and Dental Sciences and Morphofunctional Imaging, University of Messina, Italy. She is also a Clinical Psychologist, Consultant and Supervisor in Medical settings and Psychiatric Unit at Policlinico Hospital, Messina, Italy. 
The scientific publishing is centered on psychodiagnosis,psychopathology, psychological assessment and consulting in a medical setting and healthcare; personality disorders, eating disorders and bariatric surgery; suicide risk; aggressive and violent behaviour; adolescent mental health; autistic spectrum disorder in adults; women’s mental health; Psychourbanism, Psychotherapy and Jungian psychoanalysis. Professional of the projective clinical psychodiagnosis,  Member of the Board of the Associazione Italiana Rorschach (AIR), Italian member of the ISR International Society of the Rorschach and Projective Methods and member of the International Network “Réseau International de Recherche Méthodes projectives et Psychanalyse”. Author of books and scientific articles, member of board of hight-impact Journals in Clinical Psychology fields.
